GoodDiary Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to GoodDiary ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains how the app handles information.

Diary content and photos

Diary entries, moods, and photos that you add to GoodDiary are stored on your device. We do not send diary text, attached photos, or search keywords to our servers or to third parties. The developer cannot view the contents of your diary.

If you choose to use the camera or photo library, the app accesses only the photo you select or capture for use in your diary. Photos added to a diary are stored on your device.

iCloud Backup

GoodDiary does not currently use iCloud Drive to synchronize diary data. If you enable iCloud Backup on your device, app data may be included in your iCloud Backup, subject to your Apple ID and device backup settings. Apple manages iCloud Backup under its own privacy policy.

Analytics and Remote Config

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config, services provided by Google, to understand app use, measure reliability, and manage app configuration. Analytics may receive app interaction events, aggregate counts, app and device information, and diagnostic information. We do not send diary text, photos, or search keywords to Firebase.

Advertising and choices

GoodDiary displays ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google and its advertising partners may process information such as IP address, device identifiers, app performance and diagnostic data, ads shown, and ad interaction data to provide and measure ads. Where required, we present a consent form. Where you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, the advertising identifier may be used for personalized advertising; declining does not limit the app's diary features. You can change relevant choices in your device privacy settings and, where shown, in the app's Privacy Choices setting.

For details, see Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Sharing

Content is shared only when you explicitly use an iOS sharing feature. The recipient and service you select handle shared content under their own policies.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete diary entries and photos in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from the device, except for data retained in device backups until managed or deleted through Apple's backup settings. Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google according to its policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the date above.
